The Economic Times, launched in 1961, is largest financial daily in India and the second largest in world financial daily after The Wall Street Journal, with a daily circulation of over 750,000 copies. It is published by largest in India media group, Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd, (This company along with its other group companies is more popularly known as The Times Group), which also publishes The Times of India, the Navbharat Times, the Maharashtra Times, Femina, and Filmfare.
